About us!
This group is formed by Andrea Hartley and Jenny Johnson in memory of Loretta Montoya.
"Loretta messaged me on June 2nd. She wrote ' I have MCS. Diagnosed 2 months ago. Have gone to homelessness in that time as I cannot tolerate much of anything. My home was abated but the mold eliminator used is a chemical I am unable to tolerate. I get very sick when I try to go inside my home. I am desperate for a place to live/share that is CMS/EI friendly and free of toxins and molds. I have no where to turn. Please, please give me some guidance. God bless you.'
Tearfully, I write that I spent hours on the phone with her and offered her to come to my home but she said she couldn't make the trip. I heard her loud wheezing when she was triggered. I looked in Craigslist for places near her but nothing worked out. I found a safe place 3 hours drive from her but she had no one to take her there and had become too weak to drive. I got a call on August 8 from a friend of hers telling me the heartbreaking news that Loretta had shot and killed herself on the back porch of her house.
She would still be alive if only someone was available to drive her. We need to make many people who don't suffer from this aware, in every state so lives can be saved." (written by Andrea Hartley)

Our Vision!
To provide emergency help to people who have become homeless due to multiple chemical sensitivities or mold issues. That help would include providing a network of places for shelter including but not limited to, safe bed and breakfasts, safe hotels, safe private homes, safe campgrounds or places to camp. It needs to be remembered that what is safe for one may not be safe for another. The list will provide details as much as possible about each location. Also, our vision is to obtain a list of volunteers in each state who would be available to transport the person to the safe location
Our goal is to aid people who have been displaced from their home because of chemical or mold issues which cause severe health impairment.

And a special thanks to all of our volunteers so far who have either volunteer for administrative assistance for our group, transportation, safe housing, or prayers and positive thinking for all of you in need: Paula Dec, Kathy Horn, Midori Evans, Raven Galarza de Gold, Penelope Johnstone, Rebecca Fox, SueAnn Small, LuAnn Cooley, Joanne Cabe, Jennifer Cannon, Eliana Herrerias, Linda Wilson, Midori Evans, Ota Lutz
We are maintaining a website of possible emergency housing for people who are displaced from their homes because of Chemical Sensitivities or mold issues. Each person needs to call ahead and check out for their own specific needs. Please message us if you would like to add any places. We also post anyone who is willing to volunteer to be a driver for someone who cannot drive. People Rescue also will provide information on personal energy testing for determining how you are reacting to any given environment, food or supplement at any time. This is for educational purposes only and does not take the place of medical advice, nor is it intended to be medical advice. People Rescue is also attempting to raise funds for the purchase of a property to serve as an emergency place for people to go in the northeast.
